Our 200mg extract is made from over 1000mg of dried root powder and is therefore likely to be 5 times stronger than a product containing simply 200mg of powdered plant material. Our product is standardised to provide 4% Phenolic compounds per capsule. Remember, if a label does not say the product contains a herb extract, then it is almost certainly just dried, powdered plant material.

Researchers reviewed 63 old studies and found that the vitamin could reduce the chances of developing breast, ovarian and colon cancer, and others."

We recommend that you use a good high dose Multi Vitamin and mineral supplement that combines your Vitamin D intake with a broad spectrum of other vitamins and minerals that help you to absorb the highest amount of the vitamin D that you are taking.

Sage  2500mg(high grade Sage extract)

Much more than just a culinary herb, sage has traditionally been associated with longevity, with a reputation for restoring memory in the elderly and has been used by herbalists for centuries for a variety of conditions.

Practitioners have used sage for many years for the treatment of hot flushes, a use supported by some studies and an area of real interest amongst scientists at the current time with many new investigations under way.

Sage is hailed as a mild phyto-oestrogen which means that whilst not  chemically relatated, it does have some similarities to oestrogen. So whilst the herb cannot elicit a full oestrogen-like effect on the body in the sense that it cannot alter the level of oestrogen in the blood, it is able to bind to oestrogen receptors and this probably accounts for its ability to alleviate adverse menopausal symptoms.

Lamberts only use high-grade sage extract that has a guaranteed level of 2.5% rosmarinic acid (the main 'active' compound in sage).

Bromelain 500mg (2000 GDU/g)

Bromelain, an enzyme derived from the stem of fresh pineapples, is probably best known for its use as a digestive aid, especially to assist in the digestion of high protein or fatty meals.

Recent research however has turned many experts' attention to its use for helping sports people with sprains and strains. It is believed to inhibit the body's production of prostaglandins associated with inflamation and pain whilst promoting the formation of those with an anti-inflammatory action.

Bromelain can also work well when taken in conjunction with turmeric, so many practitioners recommend taking the two products alongside each other. Bromelain appears to aid the absorption of curcumin, the active ingredient in turmeric.

To be of use a product must contain at least 2000 GD units per gram, which is why it is important to use a high strength product such as ours that contains this relevant level.

L-Theanine 100mg

Everyone knows that a nice cup of tea is the best thing for someone who has had some kind of shock or stressful ordeal. No other hot drink seems to offer this kind of support, so there must be something in the tea that has a calming effect.

Tea certainly contains a surprising amount of caffeine and yet is not generally considered as a stimulant in the same way that coffee is. Some researchers think that this maybe because tea contains something else - in effect cancelling out the caffeine.

The mystery ingredient in tea is now thought to be an amino acid called L-Theanine. And whilst it is not unique to tea, the tea plant seems a particularly rich source. When L-Theanine has been given to people in clinical studies many of the positive effects of tea can be reproduced.

We have chosen to use Suntheanine since this is a patented pharmaceutical grade L-Theanine whereas other L-Theanine products can contain up to 50% of the inactive 'D' form. It is also the product that has been used in numerous clinical studies worldwide.
