client goals as part of an exercise and physical
activity programme
- How to

Structure
Weeks 1 to 4:
you are mainly studying Level 3 advanced Anatomy and
Physiology, and Nutrition theory using our hard copy
course books, manuals, DVD and study guide, along
with guidance and regular contact with your course
tutor (this will be the same tutor that leads you
through all of the course). All of the study
material is yours to keep and use as your reference
text books for years to come.
Weeks 5, 6
and 7: you attend our facility for three
weekends (Saturday and Sunday) to learn and practice
the practical skills you need to be a Personal
Trainer. You will also sit your two multiple choice
theory exams, one for advanced Anatomy and
Physiology and one for Nutrition. There will also be
what's called continuous assessment on some of the
practical parts of the course whilst you are
learning them; for instance body composition testing
and fitness testing.
Weeks 8, 9,
10 and 11: you will have time to complete your
more advanced periodised training program and series
of program cards which forms your 'Programming
Personal Training Clients' module as well as
practising delivering advanced training systems
elements of your program. During this time you will
be given a complimentary membership for you and a
guest to our facility, to familiarise yourself with
the assessment venue or to just simply train for
yourself.
End of week
11: The weekend at the end of week 11 you will
come in to have your practical assessment for the
last module 'Delivering Personal Training Sessions'.
We book you in for a slot of roughly two and a half
hours on one of the two days (this is all you need
to attend this weekend). During this time you will
be assessed teaching advanced training systems and
other parts of the program that you devised in the
'Programming Personal Training Clients' module to
another student.
